Speed Up Metabolism

What can I do to speed up my metabolism?
I’m trying to lose weight, and I just wanted to know if there was a certain exercise of foor or something that would speed up my metabolism? Thanks so much!
my boyfriend is a work out buff, and this is what he advises:
never skip meals. instead of three main meals, spread your eating out across several smaller meals throughout the day. never skip breakfast in particular, that is the meal that jump starts your metabolism.
if you’re doing cardio, utilize intervals. if you’re running, for example, jog for a few minutes and then sprint for a few minutes. alternate between different speeds so your heart rate can’t adapt to the changes.
get enough fluids. it’s been said that if you feel thirsty, your body is already dehydrated.
if you’re exercising, keep them intense, instead of taking long breaks.
there are several metabolic and immune-related benefits to taking occasional cold showers. i don’t know how it works but my boyfriend does it and he almost never gets sick.
