metabolism jump starters
please help me with my vertical leap issues. skinny.fast metabolism.15years old. 6”2?

i need a workout for my vertical leap now that my bball season is over. i wasnt the best on my team. i only average 2 points and like 2 blocks a game. im not a starter for alot of reasons, one of them because of my skinniness and my poor rebounding. everybody on the team keeps on telling me to” eat food!” and ”get big!” i do try to eat a lot of food too. so any workouts for improving my vertical leap? btw i can touch the 10 foot goal when i do a running jump. and i want to be able to dunk it by next say… october-november. and i am dedicating my summer to basketball.(i have my own net…) and i hope to god that i grow more this summer! thanks in advance! BTW im kind of built in the shoulder, chest and ab area but i want to focus on serious leg training and abs. btw for until june i have a leg press ,calf thing (i forget)!, squats, dumbells and leg extension. then in the summer its at home workout. with no weights.

Those people don’t know what they’re talking about, to give such vague and unhelpful advice. For starters, wear Vibram Five-fingers. Wearing them causes you to rely on your muscles, not the spring and roll motion of a shoe, to move. In addition, wearing them will build up your legs. You should try running with them as well, but start out slowly. The muscles engaged while wearing them have probably not been used often before, and you may be sore, but it’s the good kind of soreness. The muscles eventually build up strength and endurance.

You don’t really need to worry about your abdominal section, but you could do crunches, sit-ups, and planks a few days a week. Wearing the shoes will take care of your legs.
